Dr. Stephanie Bathurst (She/Her) is a board certified Clinical Sexologist and licensed Marriage Therapist in Maryland, Virginia, Hawaii, and Florida. She has certifications in Integrative Medicine for Mental Health, Pelvic Floor Healing and Discernment Counseling.
Her true passion is connecting couples who have lost one another, often helping clients who feel more like roommates and want to reignite the spark. Dr. Bathurst specializes in treating female low libido & holistic mental health methods for ADD, PTSD, Anxiety, Mood disorders, PMDD. She treats core wounds driving desire and attachment disorders using a combination of Gottman method, Emotion-Focused Therapy, NVC Communications Theory and Clinical Sexology. By holistically healing the core blockages in relationships, (mental health issues like anxiety and depression, pelvic floor instability, somatic tethers to past trauma, embedded beliefs of shame) clients gain access to their truest passion potential.
Effective communication, relationship contracting, sexual wellness, and partnership compatibility are Dr. Bathurst’s specialties. She excel’s working with complex and non-traditional dynamics which include: ENM, LGBTQIA+, Trauma-informed care, infidelity and betrayal repair, blended and military families. Clients benefit from EMDR trauma & attachment healing, as well as vagus nerve techniques like Acupressure Tapping for emotional regulation. With training in 4 related health fields (relationships, sexology, nutrition for mental health, pelvic floor health) Dr. Bathurst is able to co-create dramatic growth for clients in a short period of time

As the founder of Bathurst Couples and Sex Therapy, Dr. Stephanie Bathurst is a leader in the fields of intimacy, relationships, and holistic mental health, often sought after for her VIP-quality clinical care. Her passion for co-creating human connection drives her mission to raise public awareness and enhance emotional and relational intelligence in our communities.

Dr. Bathurst’s life work is rooted in her belief that emotionally intelligent communities birth a more compassionate, connected, and love-expansive world. With a Ph.D. in Clinical Sexology, she brings integrative, trauma-informed, and evidence-based approaches to her clinical and coaching practice, empowering individuals and couples to repattern trauma, build fulfilling relationships, and transform their nervous systems for deeper connection.

Her expertise spans EMDR, Gottman Method, integrative medicine, kink-aware therapy, and pelvic floor rehabilitation, but her deeper calling is to elevate the collective understanding of how love is given, received, and healed.

Through retreats, public education, and therapeutic programs, she actively bridges science with soulful healing—designing experiences where couples and communities can thrive in intimacy, purpose, and emotional fluency.
